Bolton boss Owen Coyle will attempt to sign Stoke defender Danny Collins, according to The Sun.
Collins, 31, was left out of the Potters' 25-man squad for the Premier League season, prompting him to move to Ipswich Town on loan in September.
He made 16 league appearances for the Tractor Boys before returning to Stoke at the beginning of January.
Bolton continue their league campaign against Liverpool on Saturday evening.
