Half-Time Report: Bolton Wanderers and Brentford goalless at the break

Bolton Wanderers and Brentford have played out a goalless first half in the Championship this afternoon.

Jermaine Beckford nearly gave the struggling Trotters the lead inside the first minute, but his effort was beaten away by Brentford goalkeeper David Button.

Darren Pratley was next to try his luck for Neil Lennon's side, but his long-range shot failed to trouble the goal.

Pratley went closer with his next attempt – his acrobatic effort was just off target after Joe Mason's strike had deflected into the path of his teammate on 17 minutes.

Alex Pritchard fired a fierce effort at goal for the visitors on 21 minutes, but the shot was well saved by Andy Lonergan.
