Bodo/Glimt will be aiming to make it four straight wins in the Eliteserien when they continue their campaign with a home fixture against Valerenga Fotball on Saturday evening.

The hosts are currently fourth in the Eliteserien table, picking up 29 points from their opening 14 matches of the campaign, while Valerenga are 11th, boasting 18 points from their 15 league games this term.

Bodo/Glimt are the reigning Norwegian champions, lifting the trophy on four occasions, including in the last two seasons, while their first top-flight title was in 2020, so they have been the dominant outfit at this level of late.

Superlaget have qualified for the Champions League playoff round courtesy of their championship success last term, and they will be aiming to qualify for the league phase of the competition, having fallen short last term.

The reigning champions will enter this match off the back of three straight Eliteserien wins, meanwhile, including a 4-2 success over the leaders Viking last time out.

Valerenga, meanwhile, have a record of five wins, three draws and seven defeats from their 15 league matches this season, which has left them in 11th spot in the table on 18 points.

The Bohemians are the reigning First Division champions, securing an immediate return to the top flight following their relegation at the end of the 2023 campaign.

Geir Bakke's side are focusing on avoiding a relegation battle this season, so it has been a successful campaign to date by that standard, with the team sitting four points ahead of 14th-placed HamKam.

Valerenga have actually picked up a respectable 10 points from their eight away league games this season, while Bodo/Glimt have 15 points to show from their seven league fixtures in front of their own supporters.

The last league meeting between these two sides took place in September 2023, and it was Bodo/Glimt that recorded a 4-2 success to make it five straight wins against Valerenga in the top flight.

Team News

Bodo/Glimt head coach Knutsen is expected to name the same side that took to the field for the first whistle against Viking.

Kasper Hogh has 10 goals in 14 appearances in the league during the current season, and there will once again be a spot in the final third of the field for the 24-year-old.

However, Jostein Gundersen, Nino Zugelj, Gaute Vetti and Brice Wembangomo are out of the match through injury.

As for Valerenga, Omar Bully will be missing due to an injury problem, but the visitors are otherwise in strong shape.

Filip Thorvaldsen has scored twice in his nine appearances during the current season, and there will be a spot in the final third of the field for the 19-year-old this weekend.

Meanwhile, Fidel Brice Ambina will be a notable starter in the middle of midfield for the visitors.
