Crystal Palace's Stephen Dobbie delighted to return to Blackpool

Crystal Palace striker Stephen Dobbie has insisted that he jumped at the chance to rejoin Blackpool on loan.

The 30-year-old secured an emergency three-month loan at Bloomfield Road yesterday, but the paperwork was completed in time for the forward to play some part in the Seasiders' 3-1 defeat to Millwall last night.

"It just seems to work for me and Blackpool, that's the main reason I keep coming back," Dobbie told The Gazette. "There was no decision to make for me. I love the area and it's close to Scotland for me.

"I love playing at Bloomfield Road. I have a great respect for the Blackpool fans and I've always enjoyed my time at the club."

The 30-year-old previously had loan stints with Blackpool in 2010 and 2012.
