Championship strugglers Blackpool have completed the loan signing of Tom Aldred from Accrington Stanley.
As it stands, the 24-year-old's move has been registered as a 28-day emergency loan so that he can feature against Brighton & Hove Albion this afternoon.
However, the Seasiders have confirmed that they intend to tie the defender down to a permanent contract in the near future.
Speaking to the club's official website, Aldred said: "After having various moves as a young player I definitely need to stabilise my career. I'd like to call myself a steady central defender and consistency is key."
Aldred joined Accrington from Colchester United in 2013 and he went on to make 92 starts for the club.
