Owen Oyston wants Blackpool Supporters Trust clarification

Blackpool owner Owen Oyston asks the Blackpool Supporters Trust (BST) to clarify several issues in their recent takeover proposal.

Blackpool owner Owen Oyston has asked the Blackpool Supporters Trust (BST) for clarification on several issues in their recent takeover bid.

BST made their proposal earlier this month but didn't hear back from Oyston before the July 21 deadline.

Oyston quickly responded to BST's disappointment and said that he was "seriously considering" their offer, and now he has fully read the proposal and given his full feedback.

In a statement released on the club website last night, Oyston, who has owned the Tangerines since 1988, said that he was "most impressed with your creativity, innovation, your passion, your support for the club and your concern for its future".

However, he questioned many parts of the bid, which would leave the current owners with several assets connected to the club.

"The following queries are simply to clarify and establish the facts and should not be taken as an indication of my answer to your proposal which I have been discussing for some time with my professional advisors," Oyston said.

Oyston wants a response from BST within two weeks.
