Blackpool defender Tom Aldred expected to miss rest of season

Blackpool defender Tom Aldred is expected to miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

The 24-year-old, who joined the club from Accrington Stanley in February, suffered the problem in training.

Aldred has made six appearances for Blackpool during the current campaign.

"He's set to go for a scan on Tuesday, but we expect him to be out for the rest of the season now," manager Lee Clark told the team's official website.

The Seasiders are currently 16 points adrift of safety at the bottom of the Championship table.
