New Blackburn Rovers manager Paul Lambert has made his first signing since taking charge at Ewood Park, bringing in Doneil Henry on loan from West Ham United.
Henry, 22, returns to the Championship side until January 3, 2016 after his month-long loan last season was cut short due to a hamstring injury.
"The last time I was here I felt really welcomed, I got tossed in right away and felt it was made really easy because of how great the guys were here," Henry told the club website.
New Rovers boss Lambert described Henry as "the obvious choice" when looking to bolster his backline.
"I'm delighted to be able to bring Doneil back," said Lambert. "I know that he did very well last time he was here, prior to his injury.
"We felt that it was important to add an extra body to the defensive department and Doneil was the obvious choice."
Henry impressed on his debut for Rovers last season against Sheffield Wednesday and he could make his second Blackburn bow against the same club this Saturday.
