Report: Reading boss targets trio

Reading manager Brian McDermott has reportedly targeted three players with considerable Premier League experience as he bids to keep his team in the top flight this season.

The Royals currently sit bottom of the table after recording just one win in 18 matches.

According to The Mirror, McDermott has compiled a shortlist which includes Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Huddlestone, Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson and Liverpool playmaker Joe Cole.

Between them, the three players have accumulated over 750 Premier League appearances.
