Steve Kean expects big Junior Hoilett fee

Kean expects big Hoilett fee

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean is confident of receiving a big fee if Junior Hoilett's proposed move to Queens Park Rangers goes through.

The 22-year-old winger, who has been with the Lancashire club since 2003, has reportedly agreed personal terms with QPR.

Although Hoilett is out of contract at Ewood Park, Rovers must receive a fee from his next employers because he is under the age of 24.

Kean said: "QPR might make us an offer, if not it might go to a tribunal. We were always hopeful he would go to a club here because the compensation would be greater.

"Manchester City got a chunky figure when Daniel Sturridge went to Chelsea. We have had Junior for a long time and we developed him and put a lot of time and effort into him.

"I am sure that will be reflected when the time comes."

Hoilett made 81 Premier League appearances for Rovers, scoring 12 goals.
