Venky family split over Blackburn Rovers sale

Venkys split over Blackburn sale

Blackburn Rovers owners the Venkys family are split over the potential sale of the club.

Balaji Rao is reportedly opposed to a deal after interest from wealthy Qatari backers, according to The Mirror.

Family rules dictate that all four members must agree terms for a sale to go through.

Representatives of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamed Al-Thani hope to set up a deal after he missed out on Manchester United.

Rovers are currently 19th in the Premier League table after a poor start to the season.
