Redknapp: 'Blackburn job is not for me'

Harry Redknapp has ruled himself out of the running to become the new manager of Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

Reports this morning had claimed that the 65-year-old would be holding talks with Blackburn's owners over the next 24 hours over replacing Steve Kean, who stepped down last month.

However, Redknapp has insisted that he has no interest in taking charge at Ewood Park.

"I woke up this morning and saw the papers that said I was supposed to be having an interview for the job which is a load of nonsense," he told Sky Sports News.

"It's a good club and good job for somebody but it is not a job that I will be looking to pursue. It's not something that I will look to do in the future. Like I say, it's a good club but it's not for me."

Redknapp has been out of work since he left Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.
