Lee Williamson keen to make Jamaica debut

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Lee Williamson has said that he is keen to make up for lost time and finally represent Jamaica's national squad.

Williamson, 33, was first called up to the Jamaica squad seven years ago but injury prevented him from travelling, and, until last week, he had not been called up since.

"I can't wait," Williamson told Rovers' official website. "It's exciting times, and I am glad to be back in the squad.

"I am pleased with myself. It's been a while now, seven-odd years since I came over, and this time I'm looking to play.

"I still haven't left my hunger and I can't wait to get out there. Hopefully, I'll start in the first game and the second game as well. It's going to be an exciting game, and I'm looking for a good performance."
