Emmanuel Mbende 'signs contract with Birmingham City'

Birmingham City trialist Emmanuel Mbende has reportedly claimed on social media that he has signed a contract with the West Midlands club.

The 19-year-old had spent the last seven seasons of his youth career with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund before being released in the summer.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Mbende wrote on his personal Facebook page: "Thank you to Borussia Dortmund for seven great years. Now, I am very pleased to see my first professional contract at Birmingham City FC signed."

Mbende represented Birmingham in a development squad defeat at Colchester United in August.
