Report: Birmingham City keen on Lech Poznan midfielder Darko Jevtic

Birmingham City have reportedly tabled a bid for Lech Poznan midfielder Darko Jevtic.

The former Switzerland Under-21 international has made 17 appearances for the Ekstraklasa title contenders this season, scoring five goals and registering five assists.

Jevtic began his career with Swiss giants Basel and, after a loan spell at Wacker Innsbruck, he joined Poznan on loan in 2014 before signing permanently a year later.

According to the Birmingham Mail, the Blues have offered Poznan around £2.3m for the 24-year-old, but the approach is believed to have been turned down.

Jevtic, who is also understood to be on the radar of hometown club Red Star Belgrade, signed a contract extension with the Polish club last year which runs until 2020.
