Team News: Grant Hanley overcomes head injury to start for Blackburn Rovers

Grant Hanley starts for Blackburn Rovers at Birmingham City days after receiving stitches to his head.

Grant Hanley has overcome a head injury to start for Blackburn Rovers at Birmingham City in their Championship tie at St Andrew's.

The Blackburn captain had stitches in his head following a clash during Thursday's 2-0 win at Leeds United, but has been deemed fit enough to start by the medical team.

The only change made by Gary Bowyer comes in midfield, where Lee Williamson has replaced Corry Evans.

The hosts have made three alterations as they look to change their fortunes following two successive 2-0 defeats.

Jonathan Spector starts at centre-back in place of Paul Robinson, who made an error in the build-up to Wolverhampton Wanderers' opening goal in the 2-0 loss on Saturday.

David Cotterill and Andrew Shinnie have also come into the starting XI as Gary Rowett looks to add more attacking impetus to his side.

Birmingham City: Kuszczak; Caddis, Morrison, Spector, Grounds; Gleeson, Davis; Cotterill, Shinnie, Gray; Donaldson
Subs: Legzdins, Robinson, Kieftenbeld, Solomon-Otabor, Maghoma, Toral, Brock-Madsen

Blackburn Rovers: Steele; Marshall, Duffy, Hanley, Olsson; Taylor, Williamson; Akpan, Conway, Lawrence; Rhodes
Subs: Henley, Spurr, Kilgallon, Delfouneso, Koita, O'Sullivan
