Birmingham City have confirmed that Colin Calderwood has joined the club as assistant coach to manager Chris Hughton.
The 46-year-old has been out of work since being sacked as the manager of Hibernian earlier this month.
The Scot previously worked as Hughton's number two at Newcastle United.
Calderwood will be on the touchline for the Blues' trip to Blackpool in the Championship this weekend.
