Benfica release a statement on their official website insisting that they are not in talks with any club over the transfer of Oscar Cardozo.

Benfica have dismissed rumours linking Oscar Cardozo with a move away from the club this summer.

It has been suggested that Paraguay international will be leaving the Portuguese side soon, with a whole host of clubs interested in the player, including Fenerbahce.

However, Benfica have moved quickly to deny the speculation, releasing a statement on their official website to reiterate that no contact has been made with any other club in regards to the 30-year-old's future.

"We would like to inform you that Oscar Cardozo is a Benfica player," read the statement from Benfica.

"And at this time there has been no contact with any other club about him."

Cardozo scored 33 goals in 46 appearances for Benfica last season.
