Thiago Alcantara completes Bayern Munich switch from Barcelona

Thiago Alcantara has completed his transfer from Barcelona to Bayern Munich.

The 22-year-old midfielder was heavily linked with Manchester United, but recent reports of a move to reunite with former coach Pep Guardiola at Bayern intensified over the last week.

The move has now been confirmed by the German champions in a deal believed to be in the €20m (£17.3m) region and could rise to about €25m (£21.6m) with add-ons.

As part of the deal, the two clubs will also play a friendly in the next four years.
