Bastian Schweinsteiger's brother agrees Bayern Munich move

Schweinsteiger's brother agrees Bayern move

Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger will be joined at the club by his brother Tobias next season.

The 30-year-old striker turned down a new deal with Bundesliga 3 side Jahn Regensburg in order to move to Munich, where he is only expected to play for Bayern's reserves.

"I am glad this has been agreed now. I have decided not to sign a new deal with Jahn Regensburg," he told Kicker-Sportmagazin "I would rather play for the reserves of Bayern Munich from next season and I am really looking forward to this.

"I would like to help the younger players of their squad to make good progress. I like to support them with my experience.

"It's a flattering thing to know that, from the summer, I will be playing for the same club as my brother, of course."

Tobias has scored 21 goals in a two-year stint with Jahn Regensburg.
