Kingsley Coman 'makes contract demand amid Man United, Chelsea links'

Bayern Munich attacker Kingsley Coman is only willing to stay at the club if he is paid the same as Robert Lewandowski, according to a report.

The France international's future has been shrouded in uncertainty in recent months, as Manchester United and Chelsea are believed to be preparing swoops for the attacker if his time at Bayern comes to an end.

Coman's existing deal with the Bundesliga champions does not expire for another two years, but he has supposedly tabled an audacious request to put pen to paper on a new contract at the club.

According to Bild, Coman's representatives have requested an annual wage of €12m (£10.3m) for the attacker to stay in Munich, which would see him earn the same amount as talisman Lewandowski.

However, the report adds that Bayern are in no position to fork out such extortionate wages, but incoming head coach Julian Nagelsmann still wants to keep Coman on the books for the 2021-22 campaign.

The 25-year-old scored eight goals and assisted 15 more across all competitions at club level last season, and he has been included in Didier Deschamps's France squad for Euro 2020.
