Bundesliga club-by-club transfer latest: June 27

Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk from Germany's Bundesliga.

Germany's progress in the World Cup continues to go smoothly with their win over USA ensuring that they top Group G, but clubs in the country are still getting on with business while eyes are diverted elsewhere.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfers and rumours from the Bundesliga this week.

Augsburg

Both pieces of news from the Augsburg camp involve Premier League side Arsenal. The Gunners have been linked with an unlikely move for their Swiss goalkeeper Marwin Hitz, while the German team are thought to be looking at striker Joel Campbell as one of their top targets. The Costa Rican is currently at the World Cup.

Bayer Leverkusen

Arsenal are again involved with the rumours for Bayer, and there are claims that Arsene Wenger's side have returned with an improved offer for star midfielder Lars Bender.

Defender Emir Spahic has been linked with a move away from the club following Sami Hyypia's departure as head coach, but the club have moved to deny that this is the case and expect him to remain with them this season.

Bayern Munich

Striker Mario Mandzukic is expected to leave the Bavarian side this summer, and he has pinpointed Wolfsburg as his preferred choice. The Wolves, however, have ruled out a bid for the Croatian.

The Arjen Robben to Manchester United rumours have still not faded away, although there is no further progress, while there is now interest in Toni Kroos from Barcelona as a move to the Red Devils looks decreasingly likely.

Borussia Dortmund

Julian Schieber's proposed move to Hertha Berlin could be completed as early as this weekend, according to some reports in Germany, while Roma have been credited with a sensational £20m bid for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, although the player's father has insisted that he is staying.

Dortmund are thought to be monitoring the situation of Bayern winger Xherdan Shaqiri, who has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool in the transfer window. They are also looking at Cagliari's Victor Ibarbo, with £10m a reported figure.

Eintracht Frankfurt

Could the German side be the latest to take a gamble on troubled Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, with rumours surfacing of a possible £1.2m bid.

Freiburg

Sascha Riether made his return to Germany with Freiburg, leaving relegated Premier League side Fulham for the Bundesliga outfit.

Matthias Ginter has said that he is happy to remain at the club for the time being, amid interest from several clubs around Europe.

Hamburger SV

After the transfer looked all set, Pierre-Michel Lasogga's move to Hamburg may have taken a hit. A club investor Klaus-Michael Kuehne may change the management structure, which could see a permanent move for Lasogga scrapped.

Hannover

Chile full-back Miiko Albornoz completed a move to the Bundesliga from Swedish side Malmo this week and will join his teammates upon his return from the World Cup.

The move for Albornoz has seemingly put an end to Hannover's interest in Augsburg left-back Matthias Ostrzolek, who is still thought to be keen on the move.

Hertha Berlin

The destination of Lasogga suddenly seems less clear cut, with a move to Newcastle United surprisingly back on the cards. This week they also wrapped up the free signing of John Heitinga from relegated Fulham.

Hertha's pursuit of Dortund's Schieber continues, and the deal could be wrapped up by the end of the coming weekend according to German press.

Hoffenheim

Afriyie Acquah, currently at the World Cup with Ghana, will hand in a transfer request at Hoffenheim according to reports in his homeland, having not played since signing for them in 2012.

Schalke 04

Right-back Tim Hoogland left the club for Championship side Fulham this week, with his contract set to expire at the end of the month.

The German side are one of the clubs believed to be interested in Marcelo Brozovic from Dinamo Zagreb, although the Croatian team have said that as yet there have been no offers for the player.

Wolfsburg

Ivan Perisic's promising performances in the World Cup for Croatia have reportedly attracted the attention of Premier League side Everton, with an £8m bid expected to be tabled now that the player has returned from Brazil.

The club were also thought to be keen on a move to Bayern Munich's Mandzukic, but they have this week ruled out the prospect of signing the player who has just returned from the World Cup.
