Team News: Javi Martinez returns to Bayern Munich squad

Javi Martinez has been named in the Bayern Munich squad for the first time since August as the Bundesliga leaders meet Hertha Berlin at the Allianz Arena.

The Spaniard damaged knee ligaments in the Super Cup against Borussia Dortmund at the start of the season, but he is fit enough for a place on the bench alongside Thiago Alcantara and Xabi Alonso.

Bayern, who will clinch the title if they win today and Wolfsburg drop points against Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday, start with Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller in attack, while Bastian Schweinsteiger returns in midfield.

Hertha head into the match on a seven-game unbeaten run and they arrive at the home of the champions with Salomon Kalou leading the attack on his own.

Marvin Plattenhardt has been recalled by Hertha boss Pal Dardai, but Jens Hegeler is forced to settle for a spot on the bench.
