Carlo Ancelotti hits out at Robert Lewandowski representatives

Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti insists that Robert Lewandowski "has never complained" to him, amid recent suggestions that the striker had grown unhappy.

Carlo Ancelotti has blamed Robert Lewandowski's representatives for the recent spat that saw the striker linked with a move away from Bayern Munich.

There appeared to be a major scramble for the Poland international last month after his agent claimed that he had grown unhappy at the Allianz Arena.

Lewandowski was said to have been left frustrated by a lack of support from his teammates to finish the 2016-17 campaign as the Bundesliga's top scorer.

Ancelotti is confident that the former Borussia Dortmund ace is happy at Bayern, however, accusing his representatives of simply 'talking too much' in the media during the off-season.

"Lewandowski has never complained to me, I finally congratulated him on his good season," he told reporters. "I was satisfied with him and he was pleased with us.

"As always there are agents who talk too much - I do not know why. It is not the first time an agent has used the newspapers to say something wrong, that's all. In a perfect world, agents do not talk."

Bayern released a statement a fortnight ago warning clubs not to bid for Lewandowski, who has netted 136 goals for club and country in the past three years.
