Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger back in training

Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has returned to training following a lengthy spell out of action through injury.

The 30-year-old is yet to play for the Bundesliga champions this season due to a persistent knee problem.

However, the Germany captain is now a step closer to making his comeback after joining his club teammates in a training session on Tuesday.

Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently suggested that Schweinsteiger would be back in contention after the international break.
