Pep Guardiola "not happy" with Bayern Munich display

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola admits that he is unhappy with his side's display in their 1-0 Champions League semi-final defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has admitted that he was "not happy" with his side's performance during their 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid this evening.

The German giants find themselves trailing at the halfway stage of their Champions League semi-final tie after Saul Niguez scored the only goal of the game at the Vicente Calderon.

Guardiola acknowledged that the midfielder's solo effort was a "brilliant goal", but believes that it could have been avoided.

"Their goal is a brilliant goal, but it's our mistake. We kept standing off. I'm not happy with how we played," he told reporters.

"It was a good game overall, but we started badly. The goal was a consequence of our slow play.

"The result isn't good. It makes the return tough but we still hope to make the final."

Bayern will host Atletico in the second leg at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.
