Champions League 40-goal club: Muller moves above Henry as Lewandowski closes in on Messi

Bayern Munich hammered Red Bull Salzburg 7-1 to book their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League this evening, with two of their stalwarts among the scorers.

Robert Lewandowski set a new Champions League record with a hat-trick within 23 minutes of the start of the match, those goals coming in the space of just over 10 minutes to take him up to 85 goals in the tournament overall.

Thomas Muller - the newest member of the 50-goal club - was also on the scoresheet with a brace as he moved above Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, who was also knocked down a spot on the all-time Premier League scoring list at the weekend.
