Derdiyok leads Bayer attack

Eren Derdiyok has been chosen to lead the Bayer Leverkusen attack for this afternoon's crucial Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen.

The 25-year-old starts as the lone striker, with Gonzalo Castro, Julian Brandt and Lars Bender offering support from the midfield.

A victory for Leverkusen in today's match will see them finish fourth in the table and will book their place in next season's Champions League.

Meanwhile, Werder Bremen name forwards Aaron Hunt and Franco Di Santo in their starting XI, as they look to ensure a finish in the top half of the league this season.

Leverkusen: Leno, Donati, Spahic, Toprak, Boenisch, Bender, Can, Brandt, Castro, Son, Derdiyok

Werder: Fritz, Prodl, Caldirola, Garcia, Gebre Selassie, Bargfrede, Makiadi, Junuzovic, Hunt, Di Santo
