Edgar Davids leaves Barnet

Conference Premier outfit Barnet have announced that head coach Edgar Davids has left the club by mutual agreement.

The former Netherlands midfielder, 40, originally joined the Bees as joint-head coach alongside Mark Robson in October 2012. He took sole charge of first-team affairs in December 2012.

Barnet, who were relegated from the Football League in April 2013, currently sit 10th in the top tier of non-league football.

"Everybody associated with the club would like to thank Edgar for his contribution during his time here," read a club statement.

"The club would also like to wish Edgar the very best of luck in what we have no doubt will be the continuation of an illustrious career."

Davids was also registered as a player for Barnet, but he had not featured since December 28 when he received his third red card in six games.
