Oliver Torres not looking to leave Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid youngster Oliver Torres says that he wants to "retire" at the Spanish outfit.

Oliver Torres has revealed that he has had offers to depart Atletico Madrid, but wants to "retire" at the Spanish outfit.

The 19-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the best youngsters in European football, has made the step into the Atletico first team this season.

A recent report claimed that boss Diego Simeone was not prepared to let the attacker leave on loan due to his involvement in the squad - a view which is shared by the player himself.

"Simeone has always supported me. I remember that at first he told me to play like I was with the youth team, to enjoy the most of each game," Oliver told Sportium.

"He has asked me to move much, to press and fight. He is very on top of me and follows with interest the work of the youth sector. I owe him much, I do not want to disappoint him.

"I have had offers to leave, but I would not change Atletico for the world. My dream was always to debut with the first team in a competitive match and now that I have done so I just want to play a lot of games here."

"Hopefully I can retire here. I feel very much part of the club. Being surrounded by players of great quality helps you to progress. The important thing is to keep growing as a player."

Barcelona are believed to have first option on his services.
