Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly optimistic that contract talks with Neymar will soon start to bear fruit.
The futures of the former Barcelona man and Kylian Mbappe are priorities for PSG's sporting director Leonardo at this moment in time, with both players' deals due to expire in 2022.
Neymar has been persistently linked with a move back to the Blaugrana, even with their well-documented financial problems, but PSG remain hopeful of extending the winger's stay at the Parc des Princes.
According to Le 10 Sport, negotiations between both parties are progressing, albeit at a slow pace, and there is optimism on both ends that a new four-year deal can be agreed before the end of the season.
The report adds that Neymar is keen to stay in the French capital, and the ex-Barca attacker has frequently talked up a reunion with Lionel Messi, although Leonardo has affirmed that the club are not actively pursuing the six-time Ballon d'Or winner while their own players' contracts are more of a priority.
Neymar is closing in on a return from a groin problem and boasts 13 goals and six assists in all competitions this season.
