Neymar confirms Barcelona stay with social media post

Brazilian forward Neymar confirms that he will sign a new long-term contract with Barcelona, ending speculation of a move away from the Catalan giants.

Brazilian forward Neymar has confirmed that he will sign a new long-term contract with Barcelona.

The 24-year-old was linked with a move to Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain after it was suggested that the attacker was considering his future at Camp Nou following a breakdown in contract talks.

On Thursday, however, Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu claimed that Neymar was close to signing a new five-year deal and now the Brazilian international has revealed that his future is indeed with Barcelona.

Neymar's Twitter post translates to "I am very happy to keep living this dream. Viva Barca and Viva Catalunya."

The attacker moved to Camp Nou from Santos in 2013 and has scored 85 times in 141 appearances for the Spanish giants, including 31 in 49 matches during the 2015-16 campaign.
