Brazilian wonderkid Rodrygo Goes denies Barcelona reports

Santos teenager Rodrygo Goes insists that he has heard nothing of Barcelona's supposed interest in his services.

Santos teenager Rodrygo Goes has insisted that he has heard nothing of Barcelona's supposed interest in his services.

Barca and Real Madrid are both believed to be monitoring the 17-year-old, who has scored nine times in 29 appearances for Santos's first team since making the breakthrough.

Rodrygo, who has been compared to Brazil forward Neymar, would not be able to leave his homeland until he turns 18 in early 2019, but the teenager has played down suggestions that the Catalan outfit have already been in contact over a move.

"I do not know anything about that," Diario AS quotes Rodrygo as saying. "If there is anything, the people who they should be dealing with are my father and my representatives.

"I am fully focused on Santos, to continue doing my work here and at the moment, there is nothing else."

Liverpool and Manchester United have also recently been credited with an interest in the Santos forward.
