Barcelona to keep hold of Junior Firpo this month?

Junior Firpo is reportedly set to remain at Barcelona for the second half of the season despite interest from elsewhere.

The 24-year-old has been restricted to just nine appearances in all competitions this season, two of those being starts.

Granada are said to have lodged a loan request for the left-back, aware of Barca's need to shred their wage bill.

However, Spanish outlet Marca claims that the Catalans do not want to risk leaving Jordi Alba without a back-up and will therefore keep hold of the ex-Spain Under-21s international.

Riqui Puig and Martin Braithwaite have also been tipped with a January exit, but the same report indicates that more outgoing activity is unlikely at Camp Nou this month.
