Barcelona 'identify Flick as first-choice Koeman replacement'

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has allegedly identified Hansi Flick as the leading candidate to replace Ronald Koeman, should the Dutchman leave Camp Nou at the end of the season.

Koeman's future is currently under the microscope, with a recent report claiming that the 58-year-old could be relieved of his duties following an underwhelming campaign.

Flick, meanwhile, is leaving Bayern Munich this summer, and the 56-year-old has been strongly linked with the Germany post.

There has not yet been an official announcement on Flick's future, though, and according to RAC1, the German is viewed by Laporta as the leading candidate to replace Koeman.

The report claims that the Barca president has already spoken to the inexperienced manager, who is believed to be interested in taking charge of the La Liga outfit.

Flick only took charge of Bayern in November 2019 and has an impressive record at the Allianz Arena, winning 69, drawing nine and losing seven of his 85 matches at the helm.
