Preview: Getafe vs. Barcelona

Sports Mole looks ahead to this Sunday's La Liga clash between Getafe and Barcelona.

Barcelona can give themselves an advantage in the title race by grabbing all three points from their La Liga clash against Getafe on Sunday.

The Catalan giants currently sit at the top of the table on level points with Atletico Madrid after 16 games.

Barca, who have won 19 out of their last 21 league fixtures, can extend their points total to 46 if they overcome eighth-placed Getafe on away soil.

The Catalans experienced a blip on their record when they lost 1-0 to Athletic Bilbao earlier this month, while Getafe have been inconsistent of late.

This weekend's home side have lost three, drawn one and won two games in their last six outings, leaving them on 23 points after 16 games.

Borja Fernandez is expected to return to the Getafe side following suspension, while Barcelona are still without Lionel Messi and goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

Gerard Pique and Xavi are also doubts for the encounter.
