WAG of: Gerard Pique, Barcelona
WAG since: June 2010
Gerard Pique currently plays for arguably the best club and international football team of recent memory. Since 2008, he has won the Spanish League, Spanish Cup, the Champions League, Club World Cup, the European Championships and the World Cup.
However, that success doesn't seem to be enough for the 24-year-old, who became the envy of many a man in 2010 when he started dating Latino singer and dancer, Shakira.
Contrary to the common perception of the traditional WAG, 34-year-old Shakira had made her own success prior to meeting young Gerard.
The Colombian-born singer-songwriter has racked up multiple hits worldwide, including 'Hips Don't Lie', 'Whenever, Wherever' and 'Underneath Your Clothes'. She has won four Grammy Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards and has been nominated for the Golden Globes.
Recently though, the pair have experienced the type of issues that are almost expected from the 'normal' footballer-WAG relationship.
In August 2011, Pique was accused of playing away from home - and not just in a football sense - with a Spanish model, leading to stories that the pair had split. Shakira moved to quash the rumours prior to a Spain match, however, tweeting: "Good luck to the Spanish national side and to my number 3, muah @3gerardpique. Shak."
Even more recently, rumours were rife that the lovebirds are about to be exposed as the new Kim Kardashian and Ray J! A story leaked only this week that the couple were being blackmailed over the release of a sex tape, in which Shakira is alleged to be performing a sex act on Spain and Barcelona's number three.
The reports have been denied, although Shakira does have previous, despite her sweet and innocent exterior, having allegedly made tapes of a down-and-dirty nature with Antonio de la Rúa and Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz.
What will worry Barca supporters even more is her confessed support of Real Madrid. However, Shakira has recently confirmed that her relationship with Pique has seen her change her allegiance to the Nou Camp-based club.
Yet another victory for Barca over their great rivals!
