Neymar has revealed that he was too "embarrassed" to talk to his teammates when he first arrived at Barcelona.

The 25-year-old moved to Barcelona from Santos in the summer of 2013 off the back of scoring 136 goals in 225 appearances for the club where he began his professional career.

Neymar managed 15 goals during his first season at Camp Nou, and has gone from strength to strength in Spain, with his record currently standing at 105 goals in 186 appearances for the Catalan giants.

The Brazilian, however, has revealed that he 'felt like he was in a video game' during the early stages of his Barcelona career when he initially mixed with the likes of Lionel Messi, Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique.

"My start at Barca? I won't say it was difficult to adapt to Barca's dressing room when I arrived, but the first month was complicated," Neymar told Caldeirao do Huck.

"It was an exquisite situation, of course, because when I arrived and looked around, there was Messi on one and, on the other, Xavi or Iniesta, or Pique.

"It felt like I was in a video game: I'd just played on the console [with them] and suddenly I had them by my side. At first I was embarrassed to talk to them. They're idols, my idols. And I was the newcomer and very young, so yes."

It has been claimed that Neymar currently has a £195m release clause inserted into his current Barcelona deal.
