Pep Guardiola fights off competition from Jose Mourinho and Sir Alex Ferguson to be named FIFA Coach of the Year for 2011.

Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has been named the FIFA Coach of the Year for 2011 at the Ballon d'Or Gala in Zurich.

The 40-year-old beat off competition from Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho and Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

It has rounded off a successful 2011 for Guardiola, having guided Barca to five trophies, including the La Liga title and the Champions League.

Guardiola's Barca currently trail Madrid by five points at the top of La Liga.
