Luis Enrique 'not keen on US tour'

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique concedes that he is not keen on pre-season tours outside of Europe.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has admitted that he would have preferred his club to tour Europe this summer, rather than the United States.

The Catalan outfit have touched down in Los Angeles ahead of Wednesday's pre-season clash with LA Galaxy, and they will also face Manchester United, Chelsea and Fiorentina before the end of the month.

Enrique has conceded that he 'prefers not to go on tour', but understands the need to fulfill their "commitments".

"I'd prefer not to go on tour, honestly. It's great to come here, but there are things that make it uncomfortable, like jet-lag, for example," Enrique told reporters.

"But the club has commitments and it's an interesting competition. They could do the same in Europe, but we have to accept it."

Barcelona will begin their La Liga defence away to Athletic Bilbao on the weekend of August 23.
