Barcelona boss Luis Enrique delighted with "unique" Neymar after Getafe win

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique hails one-man show Neymar following his display in the 2-0 win over Getafe.

Luis Enrique has hailed the "unique" Neymar after the Brazilian dazzled in Barcelona's 2-0 win at Getafe on Saturday night.

The 23-year-old played a big role in Luis Suarez's first-half opener, before doubling the advantage after the break with a fine volley as the Catalans moved level on points with top-of-the-table Real Madrid.

With Lionel Messi out injured, Neymar has been forced to step up to the plate more in recent weeks, and Enrique is delighted with his contribution.

"He brings us a lot, he is a unique player in all aspects, capable of taking on two or three opponents on his own," he told reporters.

"He brings us goals, assists, defensive work, keeps improving and will keep improving. He is so important for us.

"[But] we have not asked more from the players, we always ask for them to give everything. We all had to step up with players out."

Barca return to Camp Nou and prepare for a Champions League visit of BATE Borisov on Wednesday.
