Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Real Betis

Sports Mole previews Saturday's La Liga clash between Barcelona and Real Betis, including team news and predicted lineups.

Barcelona will be looking to return to winning ways in Spain's top flight when they continue their 2020-21 campaign at home to Real Betis on Saturday afternoon.

Ronald Koeman's side have only picked up eight points from their first six league games of the season to sit down in 12th position in the table, nine points off leaders Real Sociedad.

The Catalan giants have been impressive in the Champions League this term, though, winning all three of their group fixtures thus far, including a 2-1 success against Dynamo Kiev on Wednesday night.

Here, Sports Mole runs through Barca's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Betis, who currently occupy seventh position in Spain's top flight.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Samuel Umtiti, who was strongly linked with a move away from Camp Nou over the summer, is yet to feature this season due to ongoing knee problems, and he will also miss out against Betis this weekend.

Philippe Coutinho

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: November 21 (vs. Atletico Madrid)

Barca have been without the services of Philippe Coutinho since October 24 due to a hamstring problem, and the Brazil international is not expected to return until after the international break.

Ronald Araujo

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: November 7 (vs. Real Betis)

Ronald Araujo was forced off at the interval against Juventus on October 28 after picking up a hamstring problem in the first half of the European clash. Barca were subsequently without the central defender against Alaves and Dynamo Kiev, but there is an outside chance that he could return for the clash with Betis.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barca have no players suspended for the league contest.
