Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester United

Barcelona injury, suspension list vs. Man United

Barcelona will be looking to extend their unbeaten streak to 19 matches when they face Manchester United in the second leg of their Europa League playoff tie on Thursday night.

The first leg at Camp Nou proved to be one of the games of the season, Barcelona initially going ahead shortly after half time before eventually requiring a late equaliser to make it 2-2 on aggregate.

Xavi's team warmed up for this contest with a 2-0 victory over Cadiz on Sunday, a result which re-established their eight-point lead at the top of the La Liga standings.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their visit to Old Trafford.

Ousmane Dembele

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: Unknown

Ousmane Dembele suffered a thigh injury during Barcelona's clash with Girona on January 28, and the France international is unlikely to be available before the middle of March.

Pedri

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Pedri picked up a hamstring problem against Man United in the first leg, and the Spanish midfielder is expected to be unavailable for at least the next four weeks.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Gavi

Status: Out Possible return date: February 26 (vs. Almeria)

After collecting two yellow cards in the Champions League before Christmas, Gavi picked up his third European caution of the season in last week's first leg. That will see him miss out on featuring at the Theatre of Dreams due to a one-match ban.
