Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Athletic Bilbao

Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's Copa del Rey clash with Athletic Bilbao.

Barcelona's quest for a fifth Copa del Rey triumph in six years continues on Thursday with a trip to Athletic Bilbao in the quarter-finals.

The Catalan giants survived a scare against Ibiza before overcoming Leganes with a comfortable 5-0 win in the last round.

Quique Setien named a strong side against Leganes and that will likely be the case for the clash with Athletic, although that depends on which players are available.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barca's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash at San Mames.

Ousmane Dembele

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 15 (vs. Getafe)

Ousmane Dembele has been on the sidelines since picking up a thigh problem during the Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund in November. The 22-year-old, who has struggled with injuries throughout his time at Camp Nou, suffered another setback in training on Monday.

Luis Suarez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Luis Suarez underwent an operation earlier this month after damaging the external meniscus on his right knee. The Uruguay international is out for the foreseeable future, although it is thought that he will be available for selection before the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

Neto

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: February 6 (vs. Athletic Bilbao)

Neto, who played the full 90 minutes against Ibiza in the last round of the Copa del Rey, was not involved against Valencia or Levante due to an ankle sprain. The club's number two goalkeeper has not been officially ruled out of this match, although the Brazilian faces a fight to prove his fitness.

Arturo Vidal

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 6 (vs. Athletic Bilbao)

Arturo Vidal was ruled out of the win against Levante because of bruising to his thigh. The Chile international, who has struggled to hold down a starting spot in the side this term, is unlikely to be facing any serious length of time on the sidelines.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barca have no players suspended for the Copa del Rey clash.
