Luis Suarez's record vs. Valencia

Luis Suarez's record vs. Valencia

Barcelona take on Valencia at Camp Nou on Saturday evening, which tends to mean plenty of goals.

The Spanish champions have scored the joint-most goals of any team versus Valencia in La Liga history (314), including a couple when the sides last met at this ground in April 2018.

Lionel Messi has been responsible for more of those goals than any other Barca player, netting 22 times against Los Che, but strike partner Luis Suarez has also contributed over the last five seasons.

Ahead of this weekend's meeting in Catalonia, Sports Mole looks at Suarez's record in this fixture in a little more detail.

Suarez has been involved in six goals in his last eight games against Valencia in La Liga - five goals of his own and one assist.

Those five goals have come across nine league fixtures, never scoring more than once in a single match.

The Uruguayan striker failed to find the net when the sides last faced off four months ago, but he did set up Messi's equaliser in a 1-1 draw.

Suarez's most memorable moment against Los Che came in the Copa del Rey, scoring four times in a 7-0 semi-final first-leg thrashing almost three years ago to the day.
