How Barcelona could line up against Sevilla

How Barcelona could line up against Sevilla

Ronald Koeman has a big selection call to make in central midfield for the second leg of Barcelona's Copa del Rey semi-final with Sevilla.

The Catalan giants beat Sevilla 2-0 in La Liga at the weekend and will be looking to overturn a two-goal deficit against the same opponents in Wednesday's cup clash at Camp Nou.

However, the defeat may have come at a cost as Pedri limped off in the final 20 minutes and is not likely to play any part in midweek.

Miralem Pjanic, Ilaix Moriba and Riqui Puig are all contenders to come into the side, with the latter perhaps the most like-for-like option in central midfield.

Gerard Pique and Ronald Araujo also sustained knocks in the same match and will be monitored, though at least one of the two are expected to be back.

After using a five-man defence to good effect on Saturday, Barca may again line up with Jordi Alba and Sergino Dest at wing-back.

Ousmane Dembele and Lionel Messi netted in the league encounter between the sides and should start again up top here, which means a place on the bench for Antoine Griezmann.

Barcelona possible starting lineup: Ter Stegen; Mingueza, Pique, Umtiti; Dest, De Jong, Busquets, Puig, Alba; Messi, Dembele
