Pedro "confident" of Champions League progression

Pedro is "confident" that Barcelona will knock AC Milan out of the Champions League later this week.

Barcelona winger Pedro has insisted that the playing squad are "confident" of knocking AC Milan out of the Champions League this week.

The two teams will meet at the Nou Camp on Tuesday evening, having played out a 0-0 draw in Italy last Wednesday.

Despite failing to score an away goal in the San Siro, Pedro believes that there is enough quality in the Barca dressing room to secure progression to the semi-finals.

"We all believe that we can progress," the Spanish international told EFE.

"Milan have some great players and will definitely not make things easy for us. However, we are confident that we can put in a good performance with the help of our fans.

"They are a very tough opponent to beat, and they can always score a goal. But we are confident that we can qualify for the next round."

Barca prepared for the match with a 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao last night.
