Luis Enrique hails "complete" Barcelona performance

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique hails his side's performance despite the European champions being held to a 1-1 draw by Roma in their opening Group E match on Wednesday.

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has said that his side played a complete game and were unfortunate not to take all three points from the Champions League group opener against Roma.

Alessandro Florenzi scored from just short of the halfway line to cancel out Luis Suarez's opener and ensure that the Catalan side had to settle for a 1-1 draw to begin the defence of their European crown.

Enrique was disappointed that his players were unable secure victory against the club he used to manage, but insisted that he was happy with what he had seen from the game.

"We played a complete game and we deserved a better result," he told reporters. "We had the game under control but they did well to find that goal.

"We're happy about everything, except for the result."

"Roma's goal is my fault, we tell our keepers to play like that. I guess they won't score another one like this against us."

The draw means that both Barcelona and Roma sit two points behind Bayer Leverkusen after the first round of group games, as the German side beat BATE Borisov 4-1 in Wednesday night's other Group E game.
