AZ beat Go Ahead Eagles 2-0 for fourth win in a row

Goals 25 minutes into each half earned AZ a fourth Eredivisie victory in succession as they beat Go Ahead Eagles 2-0 at the AFAS Stadion this evening.

Aron Johannsson and Dabney dos Santos were the scorers for Alkmaar as they continued the good form which has taken them to within four points of top spot.

AZ made a bright start and threatened through Nebojsa Gudelj and Muamer Tankovic before Johannsson gave them a deserved advantage.

The American striker collected a pass from Dos Santos and found the bottom corner for his third goal of the season.

Dos Santos added a goal to his assist on 70 minutes when he got on the end of a cross from Swedish right-back Mattias Johansson to bury beyond Eagles goalkeeper Mickey van der Hart.

The result takes AZ above FC Twente into fourth spot, while Go Ahead remain 13th after seeing their three-match unbeaten run come to an end.
