Scottish League One Roundup: Dunfermline Athletic top pile after win

Sports Mole rounds up the Scottish League One action from Saturday afternoon as Dunfermline Athletic top the table after a convincing 2-0 win.

Dunfermline Athletic top the pile in Scottish League One after a 2-0 win against Stenhousemuir this afternoon.

Ryan Thomson put the hosts ahead after 54 minutes before Michael Moffat confirmed the victory with an 84th-minute penalty.

Ayre United dropped into second place in the league following a 2-0 defeat at home to Stranraer. Grant Gallagher's second-half strike was followed by Jamie Longworth's 81st-minute goal to seal the win.

Stirling Albion were hammered 5-0 by Brechin City as Andy Jackson put the away side ahead after 14 minutes. Jackson then doubled the lead in the second half before Alan Trouten's penalty made it 3-0 with 23 minutes remaining. Bobby Barr added to the scoresheet late on before Trouten doubled his tally with a minute before the final whistle.

Greenock Morton sent Airdrieonians to the foot of the table after second-half comeback won all three points for the hosts. Liam Watt put Airdrieonians ahead after just 15 minutes but Andrew Barrowman's equaliser left Robbie Crawford to win the game on the 69th minute.
